Why the M Series

01

Fits a tight floor

The M Series takes a smaller footprint than our full-size machines, so you can add laser tube cutting without rebuilding your shop layout.

  • 6.98 × 1.3 × 2 m machine size
  • Light enough to move — a shop, a storefront, or a job site
  • Built to be serviced on the floor by your own team
02

Full-Stroke Pneumatic Front Chuck

On the M12Y-Pro the front chuck is no longer set by hand. It clamps automatically over the full stroke, so the operator is not adjusting the machine between sizes.

  • Manual adjustment replaced by an automatic pneumatic chuck
  • Clamping range up from 100 to 120 mm
  • Round tube, square tube, channel and angle on the same chuck
03

Drawing-Free Control, Standard

The M12Y-Pro ships with the PC-based drawing-free system rather than the simple no-computer control. Your operator builds the part on the screen, so there is no CAD step.

  • A new operator runs the machine after one day
  • Stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium tube on the same machine
  • Railings, racking, balustrade, sanitary ware and building products

What it is

The M Series is our compact line of small-tube laser cutting machines, available as the M12 and the upgraded M12Y-Pro. It takes round tube from φ8 up to φ120, square section to 120×120, and channel and angle on the same chuck. We built it for shops that do not have the space or the budget for a full-size machine, so it does the core job of laser tube cutting in a 6.98 m body instead of an 8.5 m one.

Here is how it works in plain terms. You load your small tube, the machine holds and feeds it, and the laser cuts the profiles, holes, and end shapes you need from your drawing. The cut is clean, so in most cases you skip the secondary deburring and finishing steps that eat your labor hours.

We designed the M Series around one idea: make the laser simple to run. The controls are straightforward, the daily upkeep is light, and your own people can keep it running. The M12 and the M12Y-Pro cover small-tube work in slightly different ways. The M12 leaves about 80 mm of tail on the bar; the M12Y-Pro takes that under 45 mm with its front chuck, so less of every length goes to scrap. We match the right one to your parts.

Who it’s for

This machine is for shops that cut small-diameter tube and want to move off saws, manual cutting, or outsourcing. Furniture and sanitary ware makers, automotive and motorcycle parts suppliers, and general metal tube processors all run work that fits the M Series. If labor cost, material waste, and inconsistent parts are your pain, this is the machine to start with.

It also suits an owner who is buying a first laser. The smaller footprint, the simple operation, and the easy maintenance lower the barrier to getting started, so you get into laser tube cutting without a large room or a trained specialist on staff.

What is inside the machine

The M Series ships on a fixed component list. If you are comparing quotes, this is what to check line by line.

Fiber laser source
Raycus (China) — 1500 W on the standard build
Cutting head
Weihong (Han’s Laser on some builds)
Control system
Weihong — the drawing-free system plus the standard tube-cutting system
Chuck
MBS pneumatic universal chuck
Servo motors and drives
Five sets on the X, Y, Z, B and B1 axes, bus-type with 17-bit magnetic encoders
Y-axis guides and blocks
Heavy-duty hardened blocks ground on three faces, made to our specification — not the two-face ground wire-cut assemblies
Y-axis rack
Precision ground helical rack from Taiwan — not milled spur gear
Reducers
Planetary reducers on the Y, B and B1 axes
Pneumatics
AirTAC — twin precision oil and water separator with adjustable pressure
Electrical
MEAN WELL (Taiwan) and equivalent, with several independent breakers so circuits can be isolated
Chiller
Hanli, matched to the laser source power
Machine bed
Annealed and stress-relieved, machined on imported equipment
